JVF'S CURRENT INITIATIVE
Rajasthan Rural Arts Programme (RRAP)
is an initiative of Jaipur Virasat Foundation, promoting sustainable heritage-based social and economic development to increase livelihood opportunities in Rajasthan.
The RRAP Music Museum & Hub is Jaipur Virasat Foundation's first step towards actualizing its RRAP vision.
The museum aims to disseminate, promote, enliven and conserve these musical traditions and shed light on the unique knowledge they express. Centre stage are the rural musicians and musician communities of the region who are tradition-bearers of the state’s vast intangible folk heritage. Through exhibitions, outreach programs, and diverse events, the museum provides visitors with a gateway to the many different folk music cultures of Rajasthan for our new emerging India and showcases the unexplored potential and the relevance of these traditions in the contemporary world.
